[Jack Strify] STYLE IS WAR (& ALWAYS WILL BE)

It is FASHION WEEK in Berlin.

Personally I think that we still can't catch up with the designer gowns in Paris, Milano, London and New York.
(Karl Lagerfeld would have never gotten that far if he wouldn't have gone to Paris)
In Berlin I'm always missing the decadence of Paris, the passion of Milano, the punk of London and the extravagance of New York.
Still I love Berlin the most because I have my heart here and everyone knows how to have a good time (even without any money in their pockets). Always a little underground - that's the charm of Berlin.
Germans seem to be a little too decent for Haute Couture.


Well, tonight I wasn't at a Haute Couture show. It was the FASHION ROCK NIGHT.

The reason for my post is a comment a nice girl of a German girlgroup made. She didn't intend to offend me. She just didn't know any better.
When I told her, that Cinema Bizarre broke up, she was confused that I still had my style - like I only dressed up for the band.
That seemed kind of stoopid to me but as I already said, she just didn't know any better.

As soon as you are making pop music people tend to think that everything is just made up.
I love pop because it has many faces. I love pop culture because it represents the spirit of our time.
And I am proud to be part of it - with our without mascara.

Style is war. It always was and always will be.


C'est la SEMAINE DE LA MODE à Berlin.

Personnellement, je pense que nous ne pouvons pas encore égaler les stylistes de Paris, Milan, Londres et New York.
(Karl Lagerfeld ne serait jamais allé aussi loint s'il n'était pas allé à Paris)
A Berlin, il me manque toujours la décadence de Paris, la passion de Milan, le punk de Londres et l'extravagance de New York.
J'aime encore plus Berlin parce que j'ai mon coeur ici et tout le monde sait comment passer un bon moment (même sans argent dans leurs poches). Toujours un petit peu underground – c'est le charme de Berlin.
Les Allemands semblent être un petit peu trop honnêtes pour la Haute Couture.

Bien, ce soir je ne suis pas à un show de Haute Couture. C'est la FASHION ROCK NIGHT (la nuit rock mode).

La raison de mon post est un commentaire qu'une charmante fille d'un girlband allemanda fait. Elle n'avait pas l'intention de me blesser. Elle n'en savait juste pas plus.
Quand je lui ai dit que Cinema Bizarre s'était séparé, elle était confuse que j'aie encore mon style – comme si j'étais habillé seulement pour le groupe.
Ca semblait un peu stupide envers moi mais comme je l'ai déjà dit, elle n'en savait pas plus.

Dès que vous faite de la pop music, les gens ont tendance à penser que tout est juste fait pour ça.
J'aime la pop car elle a beaucoup de visages. J'aime la culture pop parce qu'elle représente l'esprit de notre temps.
Et je suis fier de prendre part à ça – avec ou sans mascara.

Le style c'est la guerre. Ca l'a toujours été et le sera toujours.
